School in shock after alleged attacks on Kilwinning Academy heads

  • The alleged attacks by an expelled pupil on senior staff took place at Kilwinning Academy

Pupils and staff at Kilwinning Academy were left shocked as a police investigation was launched after claims an expelled pupil both the school's head teacher and his deputy in two attacks just hours apart on the same day.

The 15-year-old girl allegedly assaulted the two teachers, 58-year-old head teacher Campbell Armstrong, and 47-year-old deputy head Kate McGuinness later on Friday 20th August.

The girl, and a 13-year-old girl who was allegedly involved in the attack on the deputy head teacher, will be referred to the children's reporter.
