4/2/2010s1kilwinning proud to announce its own Community Correspondent

We're very pleased to say that Donald Reid has agreed to become Community Correspondent for s1kilwinning.

Donald has a keen interest in Kilwinning as a Committee member of Promoting Kilwinning, board member of PRYDE and someone who has spent all his working life in Kilwinning be it at Sunnyside Nursery, Claremont Hotel, Cleaning Windows and even for a period as a Kilwinnning Councillor. Many of us will recognise Donald through his role in assisting to organise the Segdoune Queen Carnival and Christmas lights.

s1kilwinning is still an open forum for anyone who lives in area to talk about Kilwinning life - if you live in Kilwinning then this site is yours to post to. But we're delighted that Donald has agreed to give Kilwinning a hand by collecting and posting snippets of local news. It's a real service that Donald is doing for Kilwinning, and we're extremely grateful. He isn't a professional journalist, just a member of the community doing his bit.

Donald said: "I'm delighted to assist taking forward this community asset for the benefit of Kilwinning as a whole. I know it has been warmly welcomed by a large part of the community and this can only be built on."

If you want to get in touch with Donald, then email him at donhere@hotmail.co.uk or phone tel 07511 617599.

Remember, though, that if you want to tell us all some news, make an announcement, or use any of the other facilities of s1kilwinning, you don't have to wait for Donald to post it - this is
your site, so just go ahead and post it yourself.
Congratulations and well done Donald.

From Jim Miller,

Secretary, Kilwinning & District Preservation Society.

Obvious (good) choice in my book Donald!
Good luck with the post, would be intrested in knowing what this will mean to you, why not give us a 'blog' or something, to keep us informed (and amazed at how much you need to fit in). One question would be is how do you keep up you day job with all the extra good stuf that you do?

Have your say:
