Awards for all are delighted to announce two Kilwinning based projects will benefit in the latest round of funding.
Kilwinning Fitness Club received a £3970 Awards for All grant from SportScotland to establish a cycling section for adults and children and this project is to purchase the bikes and helmets. This grant fits with the Awards for All outcome of 'People and communities are healthier'. This grant for £3970 will fund twelve adult bikes (ladies and gents), twelve children's bikes (girls and boys) and 24 safety helmets.
Ayrshire Communities Education and Sport received a £8628 Awards for All grant from Big Lottery Fund to regenerate a football park and wasteland area in Kilwinning to provide local people with a space to participate in football and other sports and recreational activities. The project meets the Awards for All outcomes of 'people have better and more sustainable services and environments' and 'people and communities are healthier'. This grant for £8,628 will fund coach education, ride on grass cutter, roller attachments, strimmer, shipping container, storage containers and drainage.
