22/8/2008Kilwinning Community Council: Election of Members

The Community Council call for nominations of persons qualified in terms of Paragraph 5 of the Approved Scheme for election as Elected Community Councillors, to be submitted to the Chief Executive, North Ayrshire Council, Cunninghame House, Irvine on or before 12 noon on Wednesday 27 August 2008.

Each nomination must contain the name, occupation and address of the person nominated and the names and addresses of two proposers, each of whom is a local government elector for the area. Each nomination must be signed by the person nominated and the two proposers. Nomination papers can be obtained by contacting Mr P Shiach, Cunninghame House, Irvine (Tel: 01294 324129).

The Community Council comprises 17 Councillors and in the event of the number of nominations exceeding the number of vacancies to be filled, an Election will be held in Kilwinning Academy on Thursday 18 September 2008 at 7.30 p.m.
