Beauty and the Bride wedding fayre to help Kilwinning hospice
A wedding fayre raising money for North Ayrshire Cancer Care will be held at James Watt College’s North Ayrshire Campus in Kilwinning.
Beauty and the Bride, on Tuesday, February 28 from 5.30pm to 8.30pm, is being hosted by Three Brides and a Groom, a group of HND Administration and Information Technology students.
Student Ann-Marie O'Rourke said: “This event is a must for any bride-to-be. A large range of wedding services will be catered for on the night, including various local hotels, wedding dresses, wedding planners, beauty therapists, nail technicians, wedding cakes, limo hire, photographers and travel agencies. We have also had some great prizes donated for the raffle.
“Wedding singer Barry McGuire will be providing live entertainment on the evening and Hair and Make-up students from the college will be giving live demonstrations.
“We are hosting this event as part of our coursework. It’s been a great experience planning and organising, using the skills we have been learning on our course.
"All proceeds from the event will be donated to North Ayrshire Cancer Care, a local charity which is close to our hearts.”
The members of Three Brides and a Groom are Heather Carrey, Ann-Marie O'Rourke, Craig Paterson and Tanya Robertson.
Tickets are £3.50 each or four for £10 and are on sale at James Watt College on Wednesday lunchtimes, or payment can be made at the door on the night. For more information email beautyandthebride-event@hotmail.co.uk.
