Donald Reid says:

Do you have any photos of the Segdoune Queen and her attendants at an event or photos of the Carnival?

If so, please email them to donhere@hotmail.co.uk and / or upload them onto s1kilwinning.com - just click the word Edit in blue and add your photos right here!

The Segdoune Royal Crowning celebrates its 40th crowning this year and any photos over these events will be very useful to the organiser.

This year's crowning will be on Saturday 30th May leaving the Main Street to Parade to Eglinton Park at noon for a 1pm crowning in the park.

All groups, teams and clubs welcome to join the parade. The parade will be led by Irvine and District Pipe Band and joined by Castlepark, Corsehill and St Winnings Primary pupils. Also this year there will be a little razzle dazzle as Ayrshire All Star cheerleaders have agreed to take part.

If you wish to take part you will be warmly welcomed, please just advise Donald Reid in advance on 01294 472194 or at donhere@hotmail.co.uk to ensure the event has sufficient stewards.

I'd like to point out that the photos prefixed 2007 were taken by Bryce Cumisky of MS Ayrshire & Arran Branch and not myself... credit where credit's due!

Memories, Nostalgia & History

History doesn't have to be in black & white

Your memory of a local character or a school photo from the last ten years can be just as interesting as wars and Victorians.
