ON THE QUEENS DIAMOND JUBILEE.

by Margaret Biagi

For 60 years you have reigned supreme,

With nobility and grace,

And in the hearts of those who love you,

You have earned a special place.

For deep within us all there lies,

A wealth of warmth for you,

You have been an inspiration,

A true monarch through and through.

As a young wife and a mother,

Bereft, but still serene,

You came back to us in sorrow,

To don the mantle of our Queen.

You have been a great ambassador,

And a constant source of pride,

Helped by your loving husband,

Who is always by your side.

Sixty years upon the throne,

Through trial and tribulation,

With integrity and honour,

You have served this grateful nation.

In defence of the realm, and faithful,

Ma'am, you have always been,

Can you hear the cry to Him on high?

GOD SAVE, AND BLESS,THE QUEEN.

Memories, Nostalgia & History

History doesn't have to be in black & white

Your memory of a local character or a school photo from the last ten years can be just as interesting as wars and Victorians.
