His shop was in Greenfoot the old Red Cross Centre it is made into Flats now. My Grandmothers brother James Richmond owned a Tailors shop and house above where Hunters Newsagent shop was, not far from Burns Shoe Store
My Grandfather Peter Hay and Rev. Lavalette had the same hobby that was breeding Budgerigars. Rev. Lavalette had well over 150 birds my Grandfather 50 to 60 birds both had inside and outside aviaries.
When Hugh Hay retired from ICI the Hay family had over 180 years service as joiners back to Peter Hay`s Grandfather.
