Well done 2nd year pupils. Enjoyed the video. Glad you are taking an interest. Keep up the good work. I agree with the traders that there is too much litter left at lunchtime. Tell Blair he needs a hair cut.
A very good effort and bringing home a few issues of general concern to the many. The welcome news that Tesco are planning to come to the town and a Touch of Beauty reconfirming their long term future to Kilwinning. The sooner the street works get under way the better.
Great video... so good to see the young people interested in what happens in their own town centre!
I was a member of the 2nd year pupils that took on the challenge of regenerating Kilwinning Town Centre. It is so good to hear that people are taking us seriously. The project was one of the most enjoyable experiences that we have all been part of, and to hear that other people are taking an interest in what we have accomplished. We have managed to get the attention of the council and they are planning development for the New Year.
Hi you 2nd year students well done .....I am watching this in South Africa..but was born in Kilwinning, at 106 Main Street...went to Kilwinning Higher Grade, as it was then, and then to Irvine Academy.....played for the Buffs .......and altho I have lived all over the world for 40plus years am still a true Kilwinninger........keep up the good work the future of Kilwinning...Scotland... and the world is in the hands of young people with your intellect and drive...God bless
A belated "WELL DONE" to all second year pupils from Kilwinning Academy for the video taken in The Heritage Centre & Tower. It was nice to see myself hitting my head at the top of the Tower when I keep telling everybody else to "MIND YOUR HEAD". Kilwinning & District Preservation Society.
Well done to the second year pupils who got involved with this film. They certainly brought a lot of attention to the litter and dog filth in the town. The town would be a lot more enjoyable if these issues were addressed. They really showed off the Abbey and its tower at its best, just a pity they could not have got into the Abbey Church itself.
It is great to see young people taking an interest.
God bless you all.
As an ex-pupil of Kilwinning Acad, can I just say well done to all those who took part in the video. I registered on this site because I miss all that's going on back home as I now live in Glenrothes, and this is a way of catching up on all the news and gossip. Lived in Glenrothes since 1995 but it seems I have not lost my Kilwinningite accent - thanks heavens for that. The main key to making our beloved town more noticeable and attractive again, is to first of all lower crime levels, reduce anti-social behaviour and tackle drug & alcohol addiction. If not then potential investors and employers will just stay away leaving folk unemployed for even longer. What about maybe develop an action plan to keep kids of the streets late at night, and what the situation regarding the homeless? GET YOUR FINGER OUT NAC!
