Great stuff. Would love to see walkabout videos of the town as well. A good thing to look at later on in life - show your grandchildren the way it was sort of thing.
Wonder if anyone locally has any old cine footage of anywhere in Kilwinning during the likes of the 60's and 70's. I'm sure if there was such a thing and put on DVD it would create much interest.
I wonder if it is possible to see photos of North Ayrshire in years gone by, Auchentiber area maybe.
Good to see 1992 footage. The old stables are being renovated now and the Eglinton 'Tournament' Bridge has been fully restored - well worth a look. The NAC Ranger Service have written a 'library worth' of Wikipedia websites for Local History enthusiasts - have a look at Eglinton Country Park; Eglinton Castle; Eglinton Tournament Bridge; Eglinton Tournament of 1839; Polnoon Castle; Lady Susanna, Countess of Eglinton; etc., etc.
