Kilwinning Carnival
The Kilwinning Carnival and Segdoune Queen Crowning is scheduled for Saturday 9th June and Christmas Lights on Thursday 22nd November 2012.
we are looking for early notice of Stalls, entertainers and participants at these events.
The process to select the Segdoune Royal Party is now underwy.
Due to continuing uncertainty no decision has been taken re this summers events until a clearer picture is known of the councils support.
While Promoting Kilwinning are very hopeful of arranging events in 2010, due to the current financial restraints and council decisions which will effect all community events. We are unable to announce if we will be able to proceed with events in 2010.
If any community partner would like to help in any way, this could effect any decision and we would ask you contact us.
The Kilwinning An' A' That Carnival takes place on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June at KA Campus at Kilwinning Academy, Dalry Road Kilwinning between 1 and 5pm each day.
There will be music and entertainment all weekend suitable for all ages- kiddies rides, face painting, owl magic, TA Army, Army Cadets, the singing chef, childrens services, charity stalls, bouncy castle, beat the goalie, The North Ayrshire Leisure Activator unit and lots more.
Musically the highlights include Abba Mania, Supreme Robbie, Johnny Cash Tribute Cashback, the Crowdaddies plus The Bridge Church and The Huskies.
Demonstrations by North Ayrshire Leisure, Woodwynd Group, Susan Fraser School of Dance, PIE Dance, Mounted Police and British Transport Police.
We will also have a host of Crafters in our Craft Hall.
Catering will also be on site.
Entry to the Event is Free.
Parking has been arranged both in Kilwinning Academy and the Abbey Primary schools Car park at a cost of £2 per vehicle.
We regret that dogs will not be permitted on site.

Promoting Kilwinning Update.
Events in hand.
Segdoune Royal Parade and Crowning.
This is Saturday 30th May and leaves Main Street at Noon, all local groups invited to join parade, Parade will be led by Irvine and District Pipe band and feature Ayrshire All Star Cheerleaders.
The Crowning will be at 1pm and be a part of the Park Live event.
At 2.30pm another small parade to the Tournament Bridge where the bridge will be reopened to pedestrians at a 3pm ceremony, the ribbon cutting will be done by the newly crowned Segdoune Queen.

Sunday 31st May
Open to all individuals to take part.
Entry £2 for children and groups, Adults £3
Registration in advance or on day from 10.30am
Warm up 11am with a start at 11.30am from the Event Field at Eglinton on a 5km Circular.
( any assistance or volunteers on the day welcomed)
All participants will receive a medal (and we are looking for things to go in goodie bags along with health walking leaflets)
Kilwinning Carnival is a Two day event on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June at KA Campus at Kilwinning Academy.
We will have a craft fair, charity stalls, KA leisure activities, children’s services, bouncy castle, kiddies rides, TA and our open stage.
Tribute acts for Johnny Cash and Robbie Williams on the Saturday and Abba Mania on the Sunday. This together with a mix of local bands including Less than Sober and Crow Daddies. Any group interested in taking part in the Carnival is asked to contact Donald Reid ASAP on donhere@hotmail.co.uk

The Craft Hall is now fully booked inrespects Jewellery Sales.

Two Bands have confirmed they will be part of the Carnival entertainment line up.
The Huskies and Less than Sober will head up the entertainment line up.
The Craft Hall is filling up which continues to have good interest.

KILWINNING An' Au' That CARNIVAL 2009.
. SATURDAY 27th and Sunday 28th JUNE
CRAFT STALL APPLICATION.
All Craft stall fees will be non returnable.Stalls will be per ten feet. Any stalls which are purely Information and no sales will take place may be allocated spaces at a reduced rate.
All stallholders will free and indemnify the organisers of any claims from third parties.
All stalls which are commercial, fairground, confectionery or food stalls must apply to the organisers for commercial stall space.
All stalls must supply litter bins for use by patrons and leave their stance free of all litter at the end of trading.
All stall space will be allocated by the organisers at the venue of the carnival only and is non negotiable once allocated.
No banners or flags from any political grouping will be allowed. Silly String or similar products are banned from the site.
All stallholders must avoid excessive noise including background music and generators. Generally Generators will not be permitted.
All access to carnival venue will be restricted and therefore all stalls must access the carnival venue by noon and be free of parked cars and vehicle movement by 12.30. These restrictions will remain in force till 5pm or as approved by Police in the interests of safety. At all times Emergency Vehicle access must be maintained. Although these times may well change if required and will be confirmed on return of confirmation. Late arrivals will not be permitted after Noon.
All fees should be sent on application for stalls. Cheques are payable to Promoting Kilwinning.
Failure to comply with any of the above terms and conditions will result in instant closure of your stall and no fees being returned. These conditions, terms and any others required will be final.

General Information
The Carnival will be based at the KA Campus area of Kilwinning Academy on Dalry Road, Kilwinning, KA13 7HD.
The craft fair will be held in the main assembly hall area of the school.
There will be a drop point within 25 metres of the hall and has level access.
Tables and chairs will be provided for all crafters.
Stall holders can set up in the hall from 11:45 am each day.
The hours of public operation will be 1pm to 5pm.

It is anticipated that a restricted number of Bottle Stalls will be allocated, these will be allocated on first come first served basis on completion of the application form. Alcohol must not make up more than 40% of prizes available. Legal restrictions prohibit the awarding of any Cash prizes unless licensed, nor can under 18s being permitted to win alcoholic prizes.
